Adventure Story: This is my favorite tree! Located 20 minutes south of Stillwater in Coyle, OK- this lovely tree rests in front of a small forest, overlooking the Cimarron River and prairie. This diverse landscape is located on a friend’s private land with a primitive cabin- a place I go to often for exploring, resting and creative inspiration. One day while sitting under the tree, some phrases started coming to mind and within minutes this poem flowed out of me. I’ve gotten to display them both together and they feel like a permanent pair now.
