ART HIKES AT KEYSTONE ANCIENT FOREST

Since October 2021 I have been leading Art Hikes at the Keystone Ancient Forest where I volunteer as a trail guide. The first Sunday of the month, I take a group out on our moderate 3.2 mile Frank Trail giving an introduction to the beautiful ancient forest and stopping to draw at various viewpoints along the trail. As a nature artist and frequent hiker, I have been having so much fun showing people how they can create art while exploring the outdoors!

We discuss the importance of spending time in and connecting to nature in order to make art about it. I give brief drawing tutorials at the viewpoints, then allow people to find what they are drawn to in nature. I then go around and offer individual art advice.

This specific Art Hike at KAF occurs once a month and are free and open to the public! All skill levels in both art and hiking are welcome. Updates can be found on my art instagram @lizdueckart as well as Keystone Ancient Forest’s facebook page.

Come on an ARTventure with me soon!!
