Adventure Story: This piece was inspired by summer kayaking trips down the Illinois River in Tahlequah, OK. Floating or kayaking this river is a staple of any Okie in the NE region of the state. The mesmerizing soft turquoise and jade green waters in the sunniest parts of the river contrasted so beautifully with the emerald shadows along the lush riverbanks.
