I am an oil painter focusing in landscape and nature abstraction. Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but always on the move, I try to broaden my world by traveling and seeking in-depth experiences in nature. As my lifelong solace, nature has been a consistent and vital source of inspiration and self-discovery. My goal for painting is to capture the rich essence of the natural world along with the rhythm and energy of something purely alive in all of us.
I view art making as a deeply introspective practice; creating art is my way to further understand the environments I’ve encountered and my personal role within them. As I paint I am sharing my learned lessons and discoveries along the way. With nature as the muse, and paint as the tool, I ask viewers to be the addition of energy and self-reflection as the final element. I wish for my paintings to be vehicles for emotion, safe and quiet spaces created for the purpose of connecting to the vitality of both physical and human nature—landscapes to open the mind and stir the soul.
